Kirtan Kabbalat Shabbat with Shemot Shelah

“Embracing the Moment Before the Light” Kirtan Kabbalat Shabbat ~ Led by musician and storyteller Anna Sobel, with Brian Bender, Rabbah Riqi Kosovske and friends. Shemot Shelah is a new Jewish Kirtan band offering Hebrew call-and-response chanting with feminine and non-binary Names for the Divine. Kirtan is a devotional practice that opens the heart and paves the way for states of bliss, healing and peace. Storytelling plays a part in each event, as Anna brings to light historical women's practices that relate to our practice of chanting. A vegetarian Oneg potluck reception to follow.  All are welcome!
